NOPHO – Nordic Society of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology

The Nordic Society of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology (NOPHO) was formally established in 1984 in Reykjavik, following a merger of the Nordic Hematology Society and the Nordic Society for Pediatric Oncology. This integration was initiated during a meeting in Røros in 1982, driven by the need to consolidate efforts for the same patient group. Over the years, NOPHO has expanded its reach and influence, now encompassing members from the Nordic and Baltic countries, with its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. The organization operates as a collaborative network of physicians, nurses, and researchers dedicated to pediatric hematology and oncology.

NOPHO exists to enhance the survival and quality of life for children with cancer.
