Founded in 2012, the Asociación Española de Esofagitis Eosinofílica (AEDESEO) was established as the first organization in Spain and Europe dedicated to supporting individuals with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE). Initially headquartered in Toledo, the association later moved to Madrid. AEDESEO operates as a non-profit organization, focusing on advocacy, support, and education for those affected by EoE.

AEDESEO exists to inform and support individuals affected by Eosinophilic Esophagitis, aiming to improve their quality of life. AEDESEO has successfully raised significant funds through campaigns like #vEoEsperanza, which garnered support from athletes, chefs, and artists. The organization has also been instrumental in advocating for the availability of the medication Jorveza in Spain and has been recognized as a public utility association by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
